How to make a New Student Advising appointment:

  • Schedule a New Student Advising appointment on Navigate and select your “Primary Advisor”. If your primary advisor is not available at a time convenient to you, chose an advisor from your “Advising Team”.
    • Phone appointments and video appointments using Zoom are available.
  • If scheduling a phone appointment, make sure to give us your best phone number in the comments section of the appointment scheduler.
  • Military, Veterans, and Family Members: If you are using Tuition Assistance or VA Education Benefits, we recommend meeting with a Military & Veterans Programs Academic Advisor.
  • Students interested in pursuing medical science programs are advised to meet with a Medical Sciences advisor and explore the extensive requirements and options.

Business, Public Service, & Social Service Advisors

Business, Public Service, and Social Service advisors are assigned by the last name of the student. Reach out to them by e-mail and/or make an appointment with them through Navigate.

  • Review your online Degree Check prior to each registration season.
  • Prepare to meet your Advisor at least once a semester to make sure you are staying on track.
  • Make an appointment in Navigate or email the BPS advising team.
  • Please provide your student number when emailing your Advisor.

Communication, Humanities, and Technical Studies Advisors

Communication, Humanities, and Technical Studies advisors are assigned by the last name of the student. Reach out to them by e-mail and/or make an appointment with them through Navigate.

  • Review your online Degree Check prior to each registration season.
  • Prepare to meet your Advisor at least once a semester to make sure you are staying on track.
  • Make an appointment in Navigate or email the CHTS Advising advising team.
  • Please provide your student number when emailing your Advisor.
