With PPSC's acquisition of a 10,000 square foot building located at 22 N. Sierra Madre St., PPSC has continued to grow as part of the thriving downtown arts scene with the new Studio West building, which houses a modern art gallery as well as a black box theatre, dance rehearsal and performance space.

Pikes Peak State College Art Gallery at Studio West

The Studio West Art Gallery hosts a wide range of events, including student and faculty exhibitions and regional/national guest artists, artist talks, salon discussions, interdisciplinary performances, visiting writer workshops, slam poetry and open mic nights and more. Community partnerships help connect our students to productive and relevant opportunities that form mentoring relationships with professional artists within the region. The Gallery has been nominated for and the recipient of several awards through the Pikes Peak Arts Council.
 

Upcoming Event: Out of Ashes reception and poetry reading

The exhibition will feature large-scale landscape images relating to wildfires and rebirth.
Friday, February 3, 5-8pm
5:30 pm: Artists Talk-Artists Trine Bumiller and Erika Osborne will discuss their work and careers, and the inspiration for the paintings in the exhibition.
6:30 pm: Poetry Reading--Local poets Deidre Schoolcraft, Amie Sharp, Gary Walker and Dana Zimbleman will read original poetry related to the exhibitions theme.
