The Recreation and Wellness Department is dedicated to providing inclusive, educational, and impactful opportunities for students and staff members to invest in their own health and wellbeing at little to no cost. We aim to be responsive and willing to embrace changing trends in the personal health space by continually innovating our programming and actively receiving feedback on our areas with the goal to focus on the whole student experience at Pikes Peak. We strive to:

  • Provide our community professional training and health-focused opportunities
  • Create opportunities for recreation without additional barriers
  • Focus on student wellness and wellbeing both inside and outside of the classroom
  • Encourage and develop healthy habits and skills that extend beyond one’s time at PPSC
  • Generate a sense of comfort and belonging that motivates students and staff members to engage with our department

Our Recreation and Wellness Department envisions a campus community that is authentically motivated by personal health and wellbeing, and actively works to continually improve and appreciate one’s sense of self both physically and emotionally through inclusive physical activity, mindfulness, and self-care.
