Have you ever imagined publishing in a journal? Pikes Peak State (PPSC) has an opportunity for you. Submit your essays, fiction, poetry, photography, letters, and other creative works to Parley@PikesPeak.edu for consideration and publishing in SITREP.
PPSC’s SITREP is PPSC's military arts journal featuring submissions of college and community military, veterans, and their family members. SITREP takes its name from the military acronym for "situation report" and is published under the Parley Publications umbrella.
SITREP is published twice every academic year. Our last issue was available online on Veterans Day. Our print issue will be published in late spring or early summer. The submission deadline for this issue is April 1. The journal features fiction, poetry, essays, photography, interviews, letters, and other creative works. We are also willing to publish academic essays, though we ask that faculty members vouch for the accuracy of any scholarly work their students might submit for publication. Submissions can emphasize any subject or theme and need not have a military focus, though military topics are certainly welcome!
PPSC Publications has multiple venues to get your work published. To learn more about Parley Publications and SITREP, please visit https://pikespeakparley.com/
To submit your work, send it to Parley@PikesPeak.edu.
Could you use additional income? Would you like to help students transform their lives?
Good news! We are currently accepting VA work study applications!
Military Site Classes do not have course or student fees. Digital content/text fees may apply. ENG 1021, ENG 1022, and COM 1150 use Open Education Resource (OER) books which means no out-of-pocket cost for books in these classes!
We will take your used books and lend them to other military-connected students in need. Textbooks are free to check out every semester and must be returned the week after finals.
Our library has been stocked by donations from the Pikes Peak State campus community. You can help us develop our library by donating your old textbooks. The larger the collection, the more military affiliated students we can help. If you would like to donate, bring your old textbooks to MVP (C222) anytime during business hours.
If you are in need of a book, please follow the steps below:
After creating your account you will be able to browse our selection of books. Please
note, placing a reservation request does not confirm availability. Once you request
