You play a very important role in your student's education. We are excited to welcome you and your student to the Pikes Peak State College community! Explore these resources to help support your student leading up to and during their time at Pikes Peak State.

We invite you and your student to meet with a Recruiter to learn more about Pikes Peak State and the benefits of becoming a student.

You have the option to meet with us in person in a small group setting, virtually, or on-demand at your convenience.

Orientation

New Student Orientation
Review what your student is learning when they attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is online and on-demand so you (and your student) can "attend" whenever is convenient for you.

All new students must complete the orientation before registering for classes.

To get started with New Student Orientation as a parent or family member:

A Guaranteed Pathway to a Four-Year Degree in Colorado

The Bridge to Bachelor's Degree Program ensures new, first-time students attending PPSC are guaranteed admission to a participating four-year college or university upon completion of an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.

Earn Credit while still in high school

Pikes Peak State College High School Programs provide the opportunity for high school students to earn college credits before they graduate.

Money Graphic

Financial Aid includes grants, scholarships, and loans. Financial Aid starts with filing a FAFSA or CASFA. Pikes Peak financial aid advisors are available to answer your questions and help you complete the FAFSA or CASFA.

Pikes Peak State Resources

View your student's next steps to enrollment based on their student type. 

Every student should submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) regardless of their financial situation. If a student is not eligible to complete the FAFSA based on citizenship status,  they can complete a Colorado Application for Student Financial Aid (CASFA). Completing a financial aid application will aid your student when it is time to complete the Pikes Peak State College scholarship application and apply for any jobs on campus.  Review the cost of attending Pikes Peak State and the multiple options to pay for tuition and fees.

The Pikes Peak State College Foundation awards more than $1.2 million in scholarships to Pikes Peak students each year.

FERPA gives students certain rights with respect to their education records. Your student can complete the Student Consent Record Release to authorize Pikes Peak State to release information to specific individuals.

Your student should work closely with their academic advisor when registering for classes each semester to make sure they are on track for graduation or transfer to a four-year school.

Students who choose to participate in our free tutoring services receive better grades on average. They also learn skills and strategies individualized to their learning preferences to help them become better students overall.

If you are a veteran, you may be able to transfer your military education benefits to your student. Learn more about our Military and Veterans Program. 

Campus jobs provide flexibility for your student with the benefit of working down the hall from their next class. Learn about Career Services at Pikes Peak.
