Instructional Services at Pikes Peak State College provides comprehensive support for all academic programs and student success initiatives. Under the leadership of the Vice President for Instructional Services, our team of Executive Deans, Associate Deans, Department Chairs, Directors, and dedicated staff work collaboratively to deliver exceptional educational experiences that prepare students for meaningful careers and lifelong learning.

Vision Statement

In keeping with the PPSC vision, Students Succeed at PPSC, Instructional Services envisions itself as the center of teaching and learning, combining its long-standing tradition of providing quality instruction with a spirit of collaboration and innovation.

In addition to preparing students to transfer to other educational institutions, we equip students for today’s workplaces and entrepreneurial opportunities by providing technical skills and training. We also seek to guide students on the ethical use of emerging technologies.

Through the lens of continuous program improvement, student engagement, shared governance, and strategic initiatives, we are committed to graduating students who are prepared to make a positive impact in the world, become effective leaders within a diverse community, and make significant contributions that improve their lives and the lives of their families.

Organizational Structure

Instructional Services at Pikes Peak State College is organized into academic divisions, each led by an Executive Dean who reports to the Vice President for Instructional Services. This collaborative leadership structure ensures coordinated delivery of high-quality educational programs across transfer pathways, career and technical education, and workforce development.

The Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Division encompasses programs in anthropology, art, communication, dance, English, history, journalism, music, philosophy, photography, political science, psychology, social work, sociology, theatre, and world languages—preparing students for transfer and meaningful careers.
