RN to BSN Program Application Process

Prepare documents to submit with your admission application

The RN to BSN Completion Program will be available to select when the application period opens.
Prepare to submit the application by gathering required documents and completing required forms ahead of time so they can be uploaded and submitted with the application.

Submit PPSC Application

Wait until 9am on the first day of the opening month to access the admission application. The deadline to submit the application and all supplemental items is is the last day of the month for each application period.
If you have applied to PPSC before, log back into your application account to submit a new application to the RN – BSN Completion Program.
If you are new to PPSC, create an application account and then submit the application.

Important Information to submit the correct admission application:

Select the correct cohort for the question “When do you want to start attending college?”

Select Health Professions & Services in the “Select an Area of Interest” drop-down menu and select Nursing: RN to BSN Completion in the “Select an Academic Program” drop-down menu.

Upload all 5 required supplemental items to the application

After filling out the online application and clicking Submit Application on the “College Opportunity Fund and Certification” page, click on the My Account link in the menu.
Click on Step 4. Submit Supplemental Items
To upload the required supplemental items, click the “Choose File” button next to each item and upload the relevant document.
When you have successfully uploaded a document, the submission status will show as “Received”.

Important Information

Applications are not considered complete until all 5 supplemental items have been submitted and the Nursing Department has verified the uploaded documents.
The Nursing Department will review all supplemental items in the order they were received.
Applicants will be notified when all submitted supplemental items have been verified by the Nursing Department. At that point, the application is considered complete and there is nothing else for the applicant to submit.

Acceptance Process

The Nursing Department will review all completed applications (i.e. applications submitted with all 5 supplemental documents) after the application deadline.
Admission decisions and next steps will be emailed to applicants approximately two weeks after the application deadline.

FOR CURRENT ADN STUDENTS WHO WISH TO BECOME DUAL ENROLLED:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR CURRENT ADN STUDENTS WHO WISH TO DUAL ENROLL IN RN to BSN COURSEWORK:

Student must have completed the 1.1 ADN semester before starting dual enrollment
Student must be currently enrolled and progressing through the ADN Program courses.
Student must be in good standing in the Nursing Program and with Pikes Peak State College, overall.

Application periods are as follows:

For the spring admission, apply October 1st through 31st
For summer admission, apply March 1st through 31st.
For fall admission, apply June 1st through 30th.

For licensed RNs, the application process will be done entirely online.

For current ADN students, application packets may be picked up in the Nursing Department at the CHES Building or can be requested electronically from Randee.Nyman@pikespeak.edu.
