The Biology placement test is only for Pre-Nursing, Pre-Rad Tech or AAS-Paramedic
or other Health Sciences degree-seeking students as determined by the Biology Department. This
exam is for PPSC placement only.
The Biology placement does not give credit for BIO 1111 but allows a student to skip BIO 1111 and place into BIO 2101 and/or BIO 2104.
Math faculty from CCCS determined that the Accuplacer Next Generation AAF section did not adequately cover information to place students into MAT 2410–Calculus.
A test was developed by CCCS Math discipline with faculty representation from across the state to aid in placing students into MAT 2410.
Students must qualify for MAT 1440 to be eligible to take the MAT 2410 placement test. Qualifying ACT, SAT, PSAT, AP, IB, or Accuplacer scores must be on file.
The Calculus placement test is only for placement into MAT 2410 at PPSC, and not for
credit for MAT 1340, MAT 1420, or MAT 1440.
