Academic History

Report Your Placement Information

At Pikes Peak State College there are many ways to show us you are ready to take classes. Whether you are a recent high school graduate, are going to college for the first time, or are transferring from another college, you have options!

High School students interested in concurrent enrollment (taking PPSC classes while still in high school) cannot self-report their placement data using the Academic History Form. Please send your high school transcript, SAT, PSAT, ACT, AP, IB, or other scores directly to testing.center@pikespeak.edu or submit copies using the Transcript/Test Score Form.

Military or veteran affiliated students submitting scores to justify enrollment in college prep or co-requisite courses cannot self-report their placement data using the using the Academic History Form. Students can submit copies of their EdReady placer using the Transcript/Test Score Form or by emailing testing.center@pikespeak.edu.

Students with previously completed college coursework cannot self-report their placement data using the Academic History Form. Please submit a copy of your college transcript to testing.center@pikespeak.edu, or use the Transcript/Test Score Form and attach a copy of your college transcript for the Testing Center to review for placement options. Unofficial copies are acceptable. For credit evaluation you must submit an official copy to Records.

Academic History Form

You can submit the English and Math Academic History Form to self-report your test scores or grades without submitting documents. The Testing Center might ask you for a copy of the document, if we need to verify the information you provided.

Use the English Academic History Form to submit your information to see if you meet College Reading and Writing Literacy placement requirements. This can place you into ENG 1021 or courses with a College Readiness in English pre-requisite.

Use the Math Academic History Form to submit your information to see if you meet College Quantitative Literacy Math (CRQL) to place into MAT 1120, MAT 1140, MAT 1160, MAT 1220, MAT 1240, MAT 1260, and/or to place into College Algebraic Literacy Math (CRAL) MAT 1340 and MAT 1320, and other math courses.

Transcript & Test Score Form

You can use the Transcript/Test Score Form to attach the documents you want the Testing Center to review. 

You can submit the form and attach documents such as, SAT, PSAT, ACT​, High School transcripts, AP, CLEP, DSST, IB​, GED, HiSet, TASC​, EdReady​, Accuplacer​ scores and college transcripts, for the Testing Center to review for placement options.

If you have previously earned a degree, please fill out the Previous Degree Appeal Form

English Placement

  • Equivalent course found in TES :
    • ENG 0094 less than 5 years ago, or
    • ENG 1021 or higher less than 15 years ago
  • AA, AS, BA, BS, Masters or PhD completed

Math Placement

  • Equivalent course found in TES:
    • MAT 0250 less than 5 years ago, or
    • MAT 1120 higher less than 15 years ago
  • AA, AS, BA, BS, Masters or PhD completed

 

Check the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA testing matrix) to see what credits your will get for your College Credit Exam. 

English Placement

  • If you have earned credit from a College Credit Exam you meet the college-prep pre-requisite for that course.

Math Placement

  • If you have earned credit from a College Credit Exam you meet the college-prep pre-requisite for that course.
