Advice for students:
Don't be afraid to ask questions and reach out to staff! It can be scary sometimes,
but remember that everyone at PPSC is here to support and help you! Also, try to find
something on campus to get involved in, whether it's an on-campus job, a study group,
or clubs and activities!

Education: I completed my undergraduate degree at Taylor University in the middle-of-nowhere,
Indiana. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Spanish Education and a certificate
in Teaching English as a Second Language. I went on to earn my Master's in International
Education from SIT Institute in 2018.
Favorite thing about Pikes Peak State: I love all the support Pikes Peak offers our students! No matter your situation or
circumstances, Pikes Peak has or can find a way to help you achieve your goals.
When not at Pikes Peak State: I would rather be outdoors! I like camping, biking, jogging, and hiking. I hope to
hike all of Colorado's 14ers one day! If I'm not outside, you might find me reading
historical fiction novels or eating ice cream.
Advice for students: Don't give up on your goals. You may have to take weekend or night classes, take a
semester off, or ask for additional support from Pikes Peak, but keep working toward
your dreams. It will be worth it!

Education: I studied Theatre at UCCS before becoming a Business Student at PPSC. I graduated
from PPSC with a degree in Business Administration, so I can speak to the student
side of the experience as well!
Favorite thing about Pikes Peak State: Our objective is to help students be successful on their journey in Higher Education,
and we live that mission in everything we do. Whether you are joining us after high
school, after military service, or want to expand upon your current knowledge base,
there is a program at PPSC for you.
When not at Pikes Peak State: I love to scuba dive! Shipwrecks, caves, sharks - there’s not a dive I won’t try.
I’m also an avid reader and the biggest Swiftie; ask me anything! I also love video
games and playing D&D. I love losing myself in a good story, regardless of the media.
Advice for students: You are never alone! Higher Education can seem intimidating, but advocating for yourself
and showing up for yourself will get you so much further than you realize. And there
is always someone here to help you!

Education: I graduated from Pikes Peak State College in 2024 with an Associate's Degree in
Business Administration along with two certificates in Bookkeeping and Accounting.
Now, I am continuing my education at UCCS for a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with
a minor in Finance.
Favorite thing about Pikes Peak: I absolutely love the community that PPSC has to offer. From seeing the student perspective to working here - the students, staff, and faculty have a strong bond. I love seeing the interactions students have with each other and seeing the support staff offer to students is amazing.
When not at Pikes Peak: I love to play video games with friends on Discord or watching anime. If I am wanting to go out for a night of fun, I absolutely love dancing Huapangos and Cumbias with friends and families, and recently learning line dancing! That, or I'm doom-scrolling on TikTok.
Advice for students: Please use the resources offered to you, don't be afraid to ask questions, and throw yourself out there to new challenges. As a first-gen student myself, I understand the struggles of navigating college. However, PPSC has helped me in so many ways because of the resources offered and the activities that happen on campus!
Hey everyone! I'm Marisol and I'm a Nursing major here at PPSC. I plan on obtaining my BSN shortly thereafter and hopefully work as an RN after I graduate! Some of my favorite things are camping in the mountains with my family, Mediterranean food and spending time with my dog and cat. I also enjoy reading and have recently gotten into fantasy! I wanted to become a Student Ambassador to meet new people, get more involved at PPSC, and help other students feel welcome and supported. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, get involved, and meet new people. Take things one step at a time and remember that everyone is figuring it out too! I think the best thing about PPSC is the supportive community and all the resources available to help students succeed.
Hey there! I'm Irma, and I am a Physical Therapist Assistant major! Once I am done with the PTA Program, I am planning to become a Travel PTA. I want to be able to explore every crevice of the world while helping those who are in need, especially because I know how difficult it can be to feel okay after an injury. I love to go on walks and having a big ol' plate of pho afterward! I also love listening to music and dancing because what better way to get some exercise in while doing something fun? I want to make sure that students aren't afraid to ask for help. College can be scary, stressful, annoying, and so much more, but remember why you are here. My best advice is to take one thing at a time. Don't be afraid to talk to people, make new friends and explore the opportunities you have here.
Hi there! I'm Raven and my major is Associate of Science in Psychology. I plan to attend a 4-year university in Denver, a minor in psychedelic studies, and a career in psychedelic research. Outside of school, I’m a big tabletop gaming nerd (I own 70+ board games) and I go to a lot of live music events (50+ since September of 2021). On campus, I love being a student ambassador and helping students feel comfortable starting a new chapter in their lives; it’s great being able to show off all the resources that PPSC has to offer. The best advice I can give to new college students is to give yourself time to breathe! If you’re tired or stressed your brain is not processing information efficiently; don’t burn yourself out.
Hi! My major is nursing, and my goal is to transfer to Fort Lewis and become a pediatric nurse. I love nature and any kind of shark, I spend a lot of my time watching or playing volleyball. I wanted to become a Student Ambassador to help give back to my community, I love making people feel welcome without them worrying about being judged. I believe it is important to keep track of your work but also making friends with new people, you start to realize that it is easier to get through things if you have one friendly face around. The people here let me learn at my own pace and create an environment that is enjoyable which is what I admire most about people and about PPSC as a whole.
Hi there! I’m Brenden, and I am studying History here at PPSC. I plan to transfer to a four-year university and pursue a career as a lawyer or history professor. In my free time, I love taking photos and visiting Garden of the Gods. The best part of PPSC is how kind and friendly everyone is. My advice to new college students is to connect with your professors, as they are always there to help you do well.
I am a nursing major, and after college, I plan to become a travel nurse and explore new places. My favorite place in Colorado Springs is Old Colorado City- I love the small shops and local restaurants. I became a student ambassador because I want to help support others since I didn't have guidance at first. College can be tough, but there's always help available if you know where to look.My favorite thing about PPSC is the welcoming community and the support the students receive.
Hey! I am working on my AAS in Biology before transferring to a 4-year university and eventually attending a 4-year school of optometry. After college, I want to own an optometry practice. My favorite thing about PPSC is all of the resources we have on and off campus. My biggest advice to new students is to not be afraid to talk to people. Whether it is a professor, a classmate, someone you pass in the halls every day, they will be your biggest support system while you navigate your way through college life!
