Education: I started my education at Morgan Community College, earning my Associate of Arts
Degree in Business. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 2015 and
my Master’s Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education in 2017 from UCCS.
Favorite thing about Pikes Peak State: I love the fact that Pikes Peak can be for anyone. Whether you have a 4.0 GPA, need
a fresh start, want to go into a trades field, or wants to earn credits to transfer,
we have something for you here at Pikes Peak State College.
When not at Pikes Peak State: I am a huge nerd and love anything that has to do with Harry Potter, Star Wars, or
Lord of the Rings. I like to go home after work and decompress by playing xbox. The
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is my favorite place in Colorado Springs.
Advice for students: Ask questions! Pikes Peak State staff and faculty are here to help you succeed, but
we need you to advocate for yourself and ask questions so we can help you. You are
not in this alone.

Education: I completed my undergraduate degree at Taylor University in the middle-of-nowhere,
Indiana. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Spanish Education and a certificate
in Teaching English as a Second Language. I went on to earn my Master's in International
Education from SIT Institute in 2018.
Favorite thing about Pikes Peak State: I love all the support Pikes Peak offers our students! No matter your situation or
circumstances, Pikes Peak has or can find a way to help you achieve your goals.
When not at Pikes Peak State: I would rather be outdoors! I like camping, biking, jogging, and hiking. I hope to
hike all of Colorado's 14ers one day! If I'm not outside, you might find me reading
historical fiction novels or eating ice cream.
Advice for students: Don't give up on your goals. You may have to take weekend or night classes, take a
semester off, or ask for additional support from Pikes Peak, but keep working toward
your dreams. It will be worth it!

Hi Everyone, My name is Joshua, you can just call me Josh. I am studying Computer Science. My plans after college are to become a video game designer, and create massive worlds for the masses. I enjoy meeting new people, and getting to know more about them. My advice to prospective PPSC students is to take your time when it comes to making big choices, especially when transferring from high school to college. Do not rush any decisions whatsoever until you know what you want to do. I also always recommend everyone to face their fears, as it can be one of the most rewarding experiences one can have in life.
I’m an international student from Brazil majoring in Business. I plan on transferring to a 4-year institution to pursue a bachelors in International Business with a Pre-Law minor. I love the resources we have available on campus, like the Learning Commons. We have access to quiet study rooms, computers and printers, as well as free tutoring and wifi.
I am a communications major and am thinking of going into the Air Force after college, I will be graduated by next December. My advice for students is to ask questions and definitely go look for financial aid - it's a life saver! My favorite thing about PPSC is the accessibility of the college. So many people can come from all walks of life.
