Pikes Peak State College to Receive $325,000 Reisher Scholars Program Grant to Expand Student Scholarship Opportunities Funding from The Denver Foundation celebrates 25 years of the Reisher Scholars Program and invests in Colorado student success Colorado Springs, CO – Monday, August 3, 2026 – Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) is set to receive a $325,000 grant from the Reisher Scholars Program at The Denver Foundation as part of a landmark $25 million statewide investment celebrating the program's 25th anniversary. The funding will support PPSC students over the next two academic years, expanding access to scholarships and helping more Colorado students achieve their educational goals. The anniversary investment recognizes colleges and universities across Colorado that share the Reisher Scholars Program's commitment to increasing access, opportunity and student success. PPSC is among the current and future Reisher partner institutions selected to receive anniversary funding.

Pikes Peak State College Opens New Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab and Launches Healthcare Program

Wednesday, July 23, 2026 — Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) will celebrate the opening of its new Diagnostic Medical Sonography lab and the launch of its Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a ribbon cutting and open house on Thursday, July 30, from 3-5pm at PPSC’s Center for Healthcare Education and Simulation (CHES), located at 1850 Cypress Semi Dr., Colorado Springs) in room 214. The new program, which welcomes its inaugural class in the upcoming Fall 2026 semester, prepares students for careers as diagnostic medical sonographers. These healthcare professionals use ultrasound technology to help physicians diagnose and monitor a wide range of medical conditions. The addition of the program expands PPSC's healthcare education offerings while addressing the growing demand for skilled imaging professionals across Colorado and the nation.

Since their launch, PPSC's Promise Programs have enrolled 785 students, providing eligible learners with tuition assistance, personalized academic coaching and wraparound support to help them succeed. The programs continue to grow, with 174 students already committed to joining the Fall 2026 cohort.
