what do ppsc physical therapist assistant students learn?

Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) work directly with patients in settings like hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and sports facilities. To become a PTA, you must complete a 2-year associate degree and obtain licensure, certification, or registration as required by most states. Our program prepares you to be eligible for the licensure exam. 

As a PPSC Physical Therapist Assistant student, you will:  
  • Work ethically and safely under a physical therapist's supervision 
  • Carry out treatment plans for better patient results 
  • Train patients in using assistive devices like crutches, canes, or walkers 
  • Perform massage and use physical agents such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation
