PTA Career Myths and Misconceptions

Fact: PTAs are licensed healthcare providers, not unskilled aides. They deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Fact: Career growth in this field is real. PTAs can advance into leadership, education, and even specialize in things like orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, and sports rehab. PTAs can enjoy long-term career stability and competitive salaries.

Fact: PTAs are an integral part of a patient's rehabilitation team. Physical Therapists create a plan of care, and then PTAs often execute that plan by working directly with patients.
