Important Information for Dental Assisting Students
As a Dental Assisting student, there are important steps you must complete and considerations
to keep in mind before registering for classes:
Meet with an Advisor: If you’re interested in the Dental Assisting program, you must
schedule a meeting with a dental assisting program advisor before enrolling in any courses.
Transportation: You will need to provide your own transportation to clinical sites.
Health and Safety Requirements: Before starting your clinical experience, you must complete a physical exam, a criminal
background check, and a drug screening. A Hepatitis B vaccination is strongly recommended. You are responsible for any associated fees.
