Fire Science Degrees | Certification

Pikes Peak State College has provided educational opportunities over the last twenty five years for fire service professionals and students wanting to complete an associate degree in fire science technology. This program is designed to prepare individuals who have little or no experience with the firefighting profession for entry level positions in the fire service industry, including fire protection, emergency management, firefighting, and wildland firefighter knowledge; and also designed to allow experienced firefighters to receive awarded credits for knowledge gained through experience and training through the Fire Science Credit for Prior Learning Program, after which their learning can be expanded by successfully completing additional courses to complete the degree. We are also a collaborative partner with surrounding emergency agencies and colleges to continuously promote higher technical education, job performance and self-confidence in the students with the instruction of professional and qualified instructors with the most current practices
