The Pikes Peak State College Dance Department invites you to experience the Spring Showcase 2025, an evening of evocative movement, storytelling, and cinematic artistry.
Act 1 features High Altitude Dance Ensemble (HADE), PPSC’s student performance company performing an emotionally rich work choreographed by Ashley Shute. At its core, a simple suitcase is passed between dancers, symbolizing the weight of memory, the act of packing and unpacking one’s past, and the closing and opening of new life chapters. Nostalgia and reflection unfold through movement as each dancer explores what they carry—both physically and emotionally. This theme extends into a new screen-dance work that further examines the significance of these personal items and the stories they hold.
Act 2 showcases the incredible versatility of our dancers, featuring performances from our Ballet, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, and Belly Dance classes. The concert also includes original choreography from Dance Composition II students, bringing fresh, innovative perspectives to the stage. Don’t miss this exciting fusion of art and technology, highlighting the depth of expression and power of movement.
