Relationships are the foundation of a strong institution.
We promote connections within our diverse student body by building relationships.
Our goals are to build community, promote unity among students of various Hispanic/Latin cultures, and develop awareness of and appreciation for differing perspectives.
At Pikes Peak we aim to help our Hispanic/Latino/Chicano communities establish new
generational pathways to higher education, such as the Jaramillo family who made college a family tradition.
We are a group of faculty, staff, and student allies who celebrate the Hispanic and Latino cultures, and the diversity within them, at Pikes Peak State College. We will advocate for Hispanic and Latino students and staff to build bridges where barriers exist.
Celebrate culture, build community, and find your familia on campus - join our mailing list to get meeting invitations, reminders, and updates.

The first Día de los Muertos event at PPSC was in 2023 at the Centennial Campus with a single table of craft supplies and fewer than 50 participants.
Since then, the Latino Alliance has partnered with Student Engagement and Leadership and the Military and Veterans Department to expand the events and honor more individuals. In 2025:
A committee was formed to provide thoughtful planning and expansion
The Ofrenda workshops were expanded to include multiple campuses
The Armonía Hispana student club created stunning centerpieces for the Centennial ofrenda
The Culinary Department prepared traditional Mexican hot chocolate from scratch.
We saw more than 200 students, staff, and faculty gather to honor loved ones and celebrate this beautiful cultural tradition
We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who has partnered with the Latino
Alliance to expand our programming, as well as to those who have participated in our
events and taken the time to reflect and remember those who are gone but never forgotten.
