Why Take English Composition?

The mission of ENG Composition is to engage students needing to develop in aspects of critical reading, critical thinking, and writing processes to prepare them for success in college-level English courses.

The English Department, housed in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Division. We offer English Studio 121 (ENG 0094), which is a co-requisite class paired with English Composition I (ENG 1021). This means ENG 0094 needs to be taken concurrently with ENG 1021. Please note, you may not need this class depending on your test scores or previous course work.

  • To find credible resources to support your arguments
  • To share your voice, creativity, and experience in writing

We offer ENG 0094 which is a co-requisite class paired with English 1021 (ENG 1021). This means ENG 0094 needs to be taken concurrently with ENG 1021. Please note, you may not need this class depending on your test scores or previous course work.
