Dental Assistants also benefit from membership in the ADAA, (American Dental Assistants Association).

Upon completion of a Dental Assisting program or work experience as a Dental Assistant, you are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board Exam (DANB). Upon passing the DANB, you will receive the Certified Dental Assistant Credential, or CDA, which exhibits a high degree of professionalism in the field of Dental Assisting.

Once you have received your CDA, you will maintain the CDA credential by accruing 12 continuing education credits annually, which can be accomplished by attending the Rocky Mountain Dental Convention (RMDC), held each January at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
