Arts & Humanities Featured Programs

Journalism

This program focuses on the study of mass media, reporting, and feature writing, publication design, and editing. Students will gain skills for use in many facets of mass communication from social media and web content to the printed page. Journalism has changed in the digital age and there are more jobs than before.

Examine sound as a vibrant art form and explore your talents. Receive training in performance, composition, and the fundamentals of harmony and learn about music history and theory. Graduates can explore careers in teaching, performing, composing, music therapy, and the music business.

Develop your creativity as you work on concept development, technical mastery, critical analysis, and originality. Exhibit your artwork and meet other artists. Graduates can become a professional artist, and with advanced degrees, pursue careers as a professor, curator, museum or gallery director.

Drama is one of the oldest forms of expression and PPSC prepares you to pursue it as a career. Students learn about performing and production through classroom instruction and staging productions. Graduates can pursue acting, directing, screenwriting, stage management, and set design.
