Train to be a surgical technologist in just 4 semesters at PPSC. Surg Tech apprentices are hired by one of PPSC’s healthcare partners and take classes to complete the Surg Tech Associate of Applied Sciences while also learning on the job. When they successfully complete the apprenticeship, they earn a diploma from PPSC and are prepared to take the national certification examination for surgical technology (once accreditation approval from CAAHEP has been received).

Early Childhood Education apprentices are hired by one of PPSC’s ECE partners and take classes to complete the Pre-school Teacher certificate while also learning on the job. Apprentices complete classes while working according to the schedule set with the employer. Overall, apprentices complete a total of 2,000 hours of on-the-job training. Apprentices can also qualify for ECE 1045 credit through Prior Learning Assessment with employer sign off, reducing the total credits paid for the program to 15 credits.
