PPSC and BoodleBox Partner to Bring Ethical, HandsOn AI to Students
Local AI company relocates headquarters to Colorado Springs as PPSC advances workforce-ready learning
Colorado Springs, CO — October 27, 2025 — Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) is partnering with BoodleBox, an AI education company that recently moved its headquarters to Colorado Springs, to integrate practical, ethical AI into classes across multiple departments. The collaboration positions PPSC on the leading edge of innovation while staying true to its mission of access, equity, and career preparation.
Built for education, BoodleBox enables collaborative, guided AI use in the classroom. PPSC’s model starts with an AI ethics contract each semester so students engage the technology with transparency, responsibility, and creativity.

“By integrating BoodleBox, we are preparing students for an AI-enabled world. Students gain skills in the ethical, appropriate, and effective uses of AI tools. BoodleBox has been a game changer,” says Professor Katie Wheeler, Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.

AI in Action at PPSC
  • Critical-Thinking Bots: A “Contrarian Bot” challenges students to refine arguments and evidence in the English department.
  • Virtual Roleplay: A “Choose Your Own Adventure” on historical events empowers students to test decisions and see consequences in real time.
  • AI-Powered Teaching Assistant: A virtual assistant trained on course materials answers questions 24/7 so students get instant clarity, while faculty review transcripts for accuracy.
“BoodleBox enabled me to create experiences in my online classes that I cannot do with traditional teaching methods,” says History Instructor Nina Frischmann. “Students interact with historical events and sources as participants rather than passive observers.”

Student Perspective
Broadcast and Electronic Media student Hope Scippio uses BoodleBox to research and shape narratives for journalism. “Whether I’m developing advertising campaigns, drafting interview questions, or researching niche topics, it’s a game changer,” she said.

Proven Impact
Early results from PPSC’s pilot show momentum:
  • 90% of students say BoodleBox is a more ethical way to use AI.
  • 87% report a better experience than with other AI tools.
  • 83% say it improved their understanding of AI prompting.
  • Faculty also report a notable drop in plagiarism and misuse
Why It Matters for Students

With BoodleBox now headquartered in the city, this local partnership strengthens the region’s innovation ecosystem and prepares PPSC students to thrive in Colorado’s workforce.
