Christine Peebles is an instructor and the current chair of the Philosophy Department
at Pikes Peak State College. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder
with a Bachelor of Philosophy in 1995, and then went on to earn a Juris Doctorate
from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1999. She practiced law as a criminal
defense trial attorney and bankruptcy attorney and has worked in several family businesses.
Since coming to teach at PPSC in 2013, she has been honored to teach students in the
areas of critical thinking, logic, business ethics, and moral reasoning. Christine
is passionate about interacting with students both inside and outside the classroom
environment. She was asked by students to be the faculty advisor for the Argumentative
Aardvarks Debate Team and Club in 2019. Christine enjoys spending time with her daughter,
granddaughter, and horses. Her award-winning banana bread is a staple at most family
functions.
