Education and history have always been a significant part of my life. I received my B.A. and M.A. in History from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, an M.A. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and am currently completing coursework for a Ph.D. in Education, Learning, Instruction, and Innovation from Walden University. I am passionate about OER (Open Educational Resources), innovative learning, technology-based learning, and skills-based learning.

I currently live in Colorado Springs with my husband and two dogs, Irene and Nibbler, one cat named Salem, and a pigeon named Pig. I love to travel, visit museums, and crochet!

I worked in K-12 as a Library Technology Educator for six years. I have been a History Instructor for CCCOnline for five years, and started teaching at PPSC in the History department in Fall 2023.
