Students building models in class

The High School Programs Office at Pikes Peak State College partners with high schools across the Front Range of Colorado to support students in earning college credit before graduating from high school.

Through these opportunities, students may take college-level courses at their high school or on a Pikes Peak State College campus, allowing them to begin exploring academic and career interests while still enrolled in high school.

Students work closely with a designated representative at their high school to determine which option is the best fit based on their academic goals and future plans.

Articulation allows students to earn college credit for approved high school courses taken at the high school and aligned with the high school calendar and bell schedule. Students who earn an A or B in a designated course may receive corresponding Pikes Peak State College credit when the course aligns with college-level learning outcomes through an established Articulation Agreement.

Campus Pathways includes college courses offered through Concurrent Enrollment that are taught at partner high school locations by qualified instructors. Courses typically align with the high school calendar and bell schedule, allowing students to earn college credit in a familiar environment while meeting college-level expectations.

Career Start is a Concurrent Enrollment option that provides structured, pathway-based programming aligned with specific career fields. Through intentional course sequencing and hands-on learning experiences, students earn college credit while exploring careers connected to degree and certificate pathways. This programming advances students toward a defined degree pathway and/or industry-recognized certificate, building momentum toward postsecondary completion.

Concurrent Enrollment credits earned apply toward degrees and certificates at PPSC and may be transferable to Colorado public four-year universities, in accordance with Colorado state law. Through Concurrent Enrollment, students enroll in approved Pikes Peak State College courses that may be offered at their high school (Campus Pathways) or on a Pikes Peak State College campus.
