Pikes Peak State College and The Colorado Springs School District 11 to Sign Partnership Agreement Supporting Future Educators
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, April 30, 2025 – Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) and The Colorado Springs School District 11 (D11) are proud to announce a formal partnership to strengthen pathways for aspiring educators in the region. The two institutions will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during a press conference on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the PPSC Downtown Campus.
The MOU solidifies a shared commitment to preparing the next generation of teachers through aligned academic programming, dual enrollment opportunities, and seamless transition from high school to college. This strategic partnership supports the D11 Future Educator Pathway and reinforces both institutions’ investment in educator workforce development.
Following the signing, PPSC and D11 leaders will jointly present at the D11 Board of Education meeting, beginning at 5:30 PM at the D11 Administration Building. Two current students in the program will share their experiences and future goals, highlighting the real impact of the initiative.
"This is a foundational partnership,” said Michael Gaal, Superintendent of D11. “Together, we are building systems that empower students to pursue careers in education, right here in our community.”
“This collaboration represents a strong, shared vision for developing educators from within our local talent pool,” said Dr. Lance Bolton, President of PPSC. “It’s exciting to see this work come to life for our students.”
