Pikes Peak State College Earns Military Friendly® School Silver Designation, Recognized for Support of Military and Veteran Students
Colorado Springs, CO – April 22, 2026 – Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) has been recognized as a 2026–2027 Military Friendly® School, earning a Silver designation in the large community college category for its commitment to supporting military-connected students. In addition, PPSC has been named a Military Spouse Friendly School, further recognizing the college’s efforts to provide accessible, flexible and supportive education pathways for military families.
The Military Friendly® designation is awarded to institutions that demonstrate strong outcomes and meaningful support for veterans, active-duty service members and their families. Ratings are based on public data and responses to a comprehensive annual survey, developed with input from an independent advisory council of experts in veteran education.
“Serving military-connected students is central to who we are as an institution,” says Paul DeCecco, Director of Military and Veterans Programs (MVP) at PPSC. “This recognition reflects our commitment to providing the resources, flexibility and support our military and veteran students need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.”
Military-affiliated students make up nearly one third of the student body at PPSC. Through its Military and Veterans Programs (MVP), the college offers dedicated advising, transition support and tailored resources designed to help students navigate higher education and achieve their academic and career goals.
PPSC’s continued recognition as a Military Friendly® institution highlights its role in strengthening educational access and workforce pathways for those who have served and their families across the Pikes Peak region.
The full list of Military Friendly® Schools will be published in GI Jobs® Magazine and on militaryfriendly.com.
