Shelby Bailey, Ph.D., University of Kansas

Shelby Bailey recently earned her doctorate in communication at the University of Kansas in 2022 with a focus on difficult conversations and social support in interpersonal relationships. Her dissertation titled: We're Open to Talk About Sex: Conversation Orientation and the Impact on Disclosure and Satisfaction in Sexual Relationships was presented at the 2022 National Communication Association (NCA) conference. She has also presented her research at the Central States Communication Association (CSCA) and the Organization for the Study of Communication, Language, and Gender (OSCLG) conferences. She has taught communication courses online and in-person for almost 8 years.
